Claire Kubik (Ashley Judd) thought she knew her husband Tom Kubik (James Caviezel) until he was arrested and charged with the murder of a Latin American woman during time he spent in a foreign country as a Marine. Their lives were suddenly turned completely upside down as she decides to use her abilities as a lawyer to clear him of all charges. With only the help of Charlie Grimes (Morgan Freeman), Claire struggles through learning what she must about the military justice system while trying to uncover the truth. The closer the truth comes to being revealed, the more danger Claire and Charlie seem to be in. Does she really know her husband at all or is he even really Tom Kubik?
